Pumice Powder for Antique Woods by Louis XIII France

Pumice silk is a quality pumice powder with good abrasive characteristics used for rubbing down wood finishes without damaging the wood. It is best when used with water or paraffin oil to aid in lubrication. This powder will help to fill the grains, pores of the wood and sands the wood fibres and must not to be used on raw wood. Apply water or paraffin oil to the surface of the wood that is being treated. Dust on a sparse coat of the pumice powder. Rub using long, straight, overlapping strokes going with the grain. Periodically wipe surface clean to check progress, reapply as needed.
