A walk to shoe care history.

Taking a walk through the evolution of shoes and shoe care

It is not clear exactly when man started using some protective covering for the feet - or shoes, if you prefer. However, since he discovered shoes, man has always looked for ways to make keep them going for longer. For many hundreds of years, man has used different techniques and materials to make his shoes look fresh without special care. Shoe care techniques have evolved over the years and modern applications or materials for making footwear ( including : leather, wood, fabric or vegetation) come with such practices as shoe polish, shoe waterproofing, shoe brushing, shoe cleaning and shoe accessories that will help on shoe care process ( ex: shoe horns, shoe trees and sponges) .

There are many types of shoes that are meant for different occasions or seasons and this is of course despite the fact that many people put on the same shoes for almost all occasions. Wearing the same shoes in all situations puts an unnecessary pressure on them and lead to their quick wear out. It is therefore important to have the proper shoes for different occasions and seasons; It is also critical to understand the proper care procedure for every shoe type. This will ensure that shoes last longer and remain good-looking for their lifetime and all of us can achieve this by using a proper and rigorous shoe care including its shoe care accessories and all related applications.

Whether it is a business meeting, a party, a charity event, a sports day or any other occasion, you can get the right type of shoes for the situation. Traditionally, men have always had a smaller choice of shoes versus  majority of women that have innumerable numbers of shoes. This is however not to say that men cannot find shoes for all occasions and seasons or it also does not mean that women should neglect their many shoes.

Have you ever met a responsible person wearing tattered or worn-out shoes, or shoes that have lost their original color and luster? It's not a flattering appearance and you won't like to be spotted in similar shoes and if you take good care of your , you won't. Good care of shoes is not limited to how you walk in them, but also ensuring that you clean and polish them regularly. This will help your footwear to remain clean and bright-looking for a long time( It is also true that neglected shoes wear out much faster.) This means that taking good care of shoes is cheaper than neglecting them.

Past generations of man were not as technologically advanced as the present generation, yet they found ways to take care of and preserve their footwear. We fare much better, which is why we should look out for the right shoe care products.
